Calender that sits on desktop

Hi all - wondering if you can help me. I'd like a calender that sits on my desktop, so as soon as i look at my macbook i have appointments in front of me. I have so much going on over the next month or two, no time to open ical!!!

It also doesnt actually need to be in sync with my ical appointments, if it was totally separate that would be ok. Free preferred, though would be willint to pay for good software.

Just add iCal to the list of Login Items and it'll be there always when your Mac is started.

Re: Calender that sits on desktop

Geektool is great. However, it depends on what format the OP wants his calendar entries displayed in.

I'm also not sure why the OP can't just have an instance of iCal open?!

Geektool is all about rolling your own, that said a trawl via Google often shows someone's done it already.

What i really want is the calander to be part of my desktop - so if i want to see my appointments they are there instantly - without me having to open up ical. Will check through the links and suggestions - cheers

have you tried using the iCal events widget?
iCal Events
i think then you can drag them and make them stick on your desktop instead of the dashboard

Hows about setting up Spaces and have iCal open on one of them all the time? Nice and easy to swap over to it, maybe not what you want but its another idea.
