For Sale : Sony STR-DG910 HDMI Reciever 7.1 channel

As per title. In black. Only selling due to upgrade.

Approx 18 months old, a fine amp and working perfectly.

Has 3 HDMI inputs and 1 out. Will take HD audio and output as LPCM. Ideal for PS3, HDDVD, Blu Ray, etc.

The amp comes with remote, manual and set up calibration mic. The box is long gone, sadly.

In great condition, apart from a couple of scratches on the back by the HDMI out socket and one of the (very) small gold painted buttons on the front has lost it's gold paint.

I'll try and get some piccies up later.

I'm looking for £180 collected as it's fairly meaty weight-wise. I can also deliver within the Merseyside area.

Postage is a possibility, but would have to arranged and paid for by buyer

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside

3) Valid e-mail address (no disposable addresses such as @gmail or @yahoo for example).

Re: For Sale : Sony STR-DG910 HDMI Reciever 7.1 channel

Can you tell me how this would perform with 3 speakers (FL / FR / FC) as I would like reciever but at the moment could only wire up the Front set of speakers (more to add later).

Can you link me to to some good reviews/specs.

FYI - I am based in Warrington

It performs very well with just the front 3 speakers.
In fact, this is how i had it set up for a while, when i had to replace my rear surrounds.

I'll get you a link shortly.

Re: For Sale : Sony STR-DG910 HDMI Reciever 7.1 channel

Using a PS3 does this unit output HD Sound? I get confused with all this HD sound business.

If my PS3 is plugged into the unit then to the TV (via HDMI) am I still getting Full HD / 24fps etc, I presume the signal would just pass through and not be "down" graded in any way?

How do I get the sound from my Bravia through the Reciever, HDMI or via a Fiber connection only.

Sorry lots of question but I am keen.

Your PS3 sends a HD soundtrack as LPCM to the amp. Basically this means that the PS3 does the processing for Dolby TrueHD, DTS MA etc and sends it to the amp as seperate 'lossless' signals, so you get the full enjoyment of HD audio.

The amp does indeed 'pass through' 1080/24fr with no loss of quality. My PS3 looks and sounds great through this amp.

I think your Bravia may only recieve via HDMI, so you would need to use optical cable. Although, this amp has some special features for use exclusively with BRAVIA tv's called BRAVIA theatre sync. Not sure what they are as I have it hooked up to a Panasonic!

I am of course open to offers, but will be holding out for nearer the asking price.

I'd like to register an interest in this amp but it depends how quickly you're looking to sell as I won't really be in a position to buy until the end of the month...

Would be prepared to offer 180 including delivery though if you can wait...

Hi sarycn.

I will bear this offer in mind, but i'm not too keen on deposits as i've been let down before by a forum member who changed his mind then wanted the deposit back, meaning i had to try and resell the item.

I'd also prefer collection and if delivery was an option it would need to be arranged and paid for by the buyer.

I will keep your offer in mind though

Is there no way of getting the full amount up front?

Maybe from a gulllible relative, or by popping into your local off licence with a stick in a carrier bag, whilst wearing a balaclava?

The only way I'd consider a deposit is if it's a fairly large deposit and it was on a non-refundable basis.

I really don't mean that to sound harsh, it's just a case of once bitten, and all that.
