Wanted : Budget Stereo Amp for CD/PC source

Hi

After a budget stereo amp for my son to run a cd player/pc into. Needs to be cheap as chips as I'm showing him that a decent separates system could be had for cheaper than a Currys all in one system!

Picked up a pair of Cyrus Mission 781 speakers so far and will be on the hunt for a cd player shortly

Anyone got something interesting? Prices posted to Glasgow area would be appreciated.

Cheers

I've just had to empty my old bits out of my parents loft so have an amp & cd player I'm looking to get rid of.

Amp is Cambridge Audio A4, bought in 2001, used for 2-3 years and boxed in the loft ever since. V good condition. Has 3 or 4 line inputs and phono, 50w and has dual speaker terminals for bi-wiring.

CD player is Philips CDR 779. Dual deck and recordable, though that is obviously less of a boon in this age of mp3. This was used for about 18 months and has been boxed in the loft ever since. Excellent condition, manuals included but the remote has gone missing.

Posted to Glasgow I'd take £70 for the pair.

Budget would be £30-£40 posted as I need to keep the build in the realms of real budget

Thanks but it's above budget although it looks like you get a lot of amp for the cash - other problem is the speakers I have are 6 ohm and I think this amp requires 8 ohm minimum
