HTSF 1300/2300 discontinued?

Been talking to a couple of places in order to get a package deal with a new 46W5500U but everywhere says these are discontinueed and yet the sony website says these are a new model..

can anyone confirm..

as both have been out for about a year, yes, its probably right they will be discontinued, and the 2300 has been showing as a "new" model for about the same period of time.

Just rang Sony center, 'keep an eye out for a new model in July'.. looks like the whole process is on hold for me for the moment!

sony centre would probably be the last to get them..internet retailers,and european box shifters are more likely to get them first,and be priced keener.

I luckily managed to get one 2nd hand off the forums for £200 (mint condition too) otherwise I'd have got one from play.com.

Checkout the Sony website! New Sony HT-S360 is listed and ready for pre-order. Looks quiet nice! I guess I ll put the 1300/2300 purchase on hold!

nothing suggests its any different from the 1300, 3 hdmi in, same almost,except for the finish..
no extra features touted..and just now, its US only.
Sony UK are still marketing the 1300/2300.

Vaguely. Sony Germany has taken it off, Sony Czech Rep. still presents it as 'new'. Obviously Sony internal communications department has been already laid off.
