HT 1300 Satellites

Hey Guys,

Have been viewing this forum for a while and have not managed to get my hands on HT SS/SF-1300 as of yet.

I have however, found a cheap one going in my local advertising paper.
The problem being, i have always had my eyes on getting a SS (satellites) rather than a SF (Tallboys). Purely for spacial reasons. And the one going has the Tall boys.

Now, can you purchase the satellites seperately, and if so, how much is the damage!?

Also, am i being too picky in preferring the Satellites rather than Tall boys . . . whats the difference on sound between the two? I can only assume Tall boys would have a slight variation in height from where sound is ommited within the speaker itself?
(i.e, one moment a sound is high up (plane passing by for example), then the next is low sound, (wheels on tarmac or something!?);

I've got a PS3, so this system suits me perfectly, just what i need/want.

to be honest, there isnt anything different in the sound,from either set of speakers, and the effect you are talking about is non existent, as a "feature" of tallboys.
both systems, sound and perform almost indentically.

I've just bought the HT-SS1300 from my local Sony Centre at Meadowhall Sheffield, they had them in stock. The price was £350 tho, but I got them cheaper as part of a bundle deal I managed to get with them.

Also Play.com are still selling them at £329.99.

I don't have room for the front tall boys of the "SF", so I just bought rear stands to go with my SS model.
