How to turn off TV without disabling Viera Link

Hello,
I have a Panasonic TH-37PX70B TV and a Panasonic SC-PT460 Home Cinema System. I want to play my CDs through the DVD Player, I have the Viera Link enabled (that's the reason I bought the cinema system) but I don't want the TV on while I listen to music. But when I turn the TV off, the player goes off. My question is:
How can I turn off my TV without having to disable the Viera Link? Surely there must be a way.
