Philips HTS9800W question (Dolby / DTS)

Hi Guys,
I have had a look over a number of HTS9800 threads before posting but I am confussed.
I have connected a Sony BDPS350 Blu-Ray player to the Philips via a Coaxial digital cable, in the Philips manual is says that the blu ray audio output should be set to PCM format but I thought the Philips had both a Dolby Digital decoder and a DTS decoder built in??? I have tried setting the audio output to dolby and DTS but the Philips just doesn't handle it and it is clearly wrong.

Can anyone who has this system tell me the best way to get the best sound from my blu-ray discs, I watched Quantum of Solace last night on Blu-Ray and was REALLY disapointed by the sound (The blu-ray was set to PCM) and the Philips was set to Digi-in

Any tips will be gratfully received - thanks in advance

Richard
