Panasonic SC-PT 460 speaker problem?

Hi guys, i just got the panasonic SC-PT 460

I hooked up all the speakers.. the center.. right.. side.. left surround.. right surround..

I also connected my cable box audio(red&White) through it to the aux...

For some reason, sound only comes through my right and left speaker.. no center, or surround sound..

I also tried plugging in my ipod.. the same thing..

i did a test in the menu and all speakers work.. im a noob to all this...

How can i get sound from all my speakers?

Re: Panasonic SC-PT 460 speaker problem?

If the Panasonic has Dolby pro Logic then select that and you will get pretend 5.1.

turn up the volume then, or raise the speaker levels...all information is in the manual.
and the only way, other than with a movie,to get real 5.1 is by an optical connection.
your cable box is stereo only.

Well you will only get Stereo then!

The AV system will have to do the pretend bit and yes often a volume tweek may come into it.

because unless the divx is encoded with 5.1 audio, thats all you will get, is stereo.
unless, you pick one of the sound fields like pro logic, to use all the speakers.
