Sharp ht-dv40h - help!

I've just purchased a new 42" Sharp LCD tv & Sharp HT-DV40H Movie system. I absolutely love it except for one thing..... a noticeable hum from the subwoofer unless playing too loud for the neighbours. Is there any way of reducing this when playing at lower levels?

Would really appreciate some advise

Thanks in advance

Robin

Re: Sharp ht-dv40h - help!

more than likely,if you have adjusted the volume/output levels, there is nothing to be done,as that sub is passive, isnt it(powered by the system).
so the hum will be part and parcel of the equipment, unfortunately.

what you could do,is phone sharp, and ask them,if its within specifications,as some people are more prone to certain noises, than others, and it may be you are just picking up on it more, now you are atuned to it.
