help with my JBL system please

So i was watching tv yesterday and my JBL DSC1000 was on standby. Suddenly there's a loud POP sound, like mini blast which sounded like it came from the area that my JBL receiver was located. I switched off the TV and the main power. Then i turned it back on and decided to check my JBL just to make sure that the blast had nothing to do with the player. When i turned on the main power i realised the JBL wasnt coming on at all. I pluueg the power into another socket and tried but nothing, the receiver wont come on.

Any idea what could be wrong ?. I opened the player and i couldnt smell anything burning.

Re: help with my JBL system please

have you checked and replaced the fuse in the main plug??
there also may be a fuse internally that has blown..

Re: help with my JBL system please

it can happen to anything..
might have been a power surge/spike,it might have just been a weak spot on the PSU,waiting to blow..
strange it happened on standby, but hey,when/if you find out whats wrong, hopefully that will fill a blank!
