Surround sound assistance required

Hi,
Hope I am through to the right section.I have a Samsung 37" LCD HD ready LCD tv and a PS3.Am looking to buy the Sony DAV-IS10 home cinema and hoping to set it up as follows:

• PS3-TV through HDMI cable
• PS3-Sony DAV-IS10 through optical lead to achieve surround sound
• TV-Sony DAV-IS10 through HDMI cable to achieve upscaling and to get surround sound when watching DVD's

Sorry if the above sounds a bit amateur just want to make sure I am setting it up correctly.

Please can someone advise if that is a correct setup,for what I am trying to achieve.
