DAV-IS10 - Remote control question

Looking to buy one of these, and a store in my area say they have it, but the remote is missing and possibly some manuals. If i can get the manual in PDF format from the web, would i be able to use my Sony LCD (32D3000) remote easily for the setup and function of the system? Or will there be some key features that i'd only find in the original remote that i would need?

Re: DAV-IS10 - Remote control question

they haven't said. they plan to test it and see if it is working first. The manager thinks it's either a broken or re-conditioned unit that has come back to the store. If the remote is just missing and the unit is in good condition then i would say at least £50 off. but not going to purchase if my remote won't work with it.

Re: DAV-IS10 - Remote control question

For a missing manual and remote then you should get loads more than £50 off. If you were to order a replacement remote from Sony, I would expect to be paying at least £50, to be honest.

Re: DAV-IS10 - Remote control question

well, again this will all depend on whether i can operate the unit with my TV remote control. If not, i don't think i'll bother purchasing it.

Re: DAV-IS10 - Remote control question

Its RM-ADP018. There are quite a few settings you need to do using the remote so i think you would struggle and get rather cross trying to get it set up without the correct one.
