picture grainy

After many problems getting my panny 850 to work with the HDMI, i have now finally managed to sort it.

But the picture watching a dvd does not seem to be the best.

The hdmi lead was one bought from the panasonic shop and cost £ 70 quid.

personnally i thought the picture was better with the scart lead.

Any idea's ?

thanks once again.

Re: picture grainy

What TV are you using? Try setting the HDMI resolution to 576p?

Re: picture grainy

The 850 has avery poor DVD playback, using upscaling makes it worse so set to 576 and twick the picture settings

Really? I thought that mine had good upscaling. I will do a comparison between my TV, and my DVD.

But to get back to the OP, there are a lot of HDMI settings in the memory 1/Detailed Settings.. which can really increase the picture quality a lot.

EDIT: Lol 576p is absolutely terrible...The DVD Recorder is a very good upscaler like I said.
