Denon S302

I am considering buying this unit after seeing many good reviews.

I want the speakers to sit on the floor as opposed to being on stands. Would this affect the quality of the sound in any way?

Should be at ear level really, they are designed for stand, wall or table top mounting, putting on the floor will upset the 'soundstage' in other words the sounds you hear wont match up with screen, eg knocks on doors

Not bought the TV yet but it will be a 32" LCD - either Panasonic TX32LXD70 or Sony 32P3020

In that case wall mounting the 2 front speakers both sides of the TV panel at the same level will look the part and the cabkes can be tucked away behind the TV out of view

Re: Denon S302

That may not be neccessary. Current negotiations are underway with the wife involving a complete restructuring of the living room and a new set of curtains!

Re: Denon S302

Buying her a new outfit and a visit to the hair salon normally aids the negotiations
