Sony DAV-IS10 rear speaker cable
Hi
I've just purchased a Samsung LE40M86BD TV to replace my dying 12yr old 32 inch CRT TV and a Sony DAV-IS10 Home cinema.
These are being delivered next week, currently I have a Sony DAVS-550, its been a really good home cinema for 5 years, but now I want the HDMI and upscaling DVD.
I fitted the rear speak cables under my wooden floor when it was installed 2 years, so i was wondering if the rear speaker cable on the DAVS-550 is the same as on my new Sony DAV-IS10, as this would be ideal as I do not need to mess around changing cables, anyone know if the cables are universal between the 2 systems? if not, whats the best way fit the DAV-IS10 to the DAVS-550 cables under the floor? I'd rather not have to thread the rear speaker cable around the room and lifting the floor is not an option.
Thanks for any advice.

You can keep the cables but remember they dont connect to the amp like the 550, they connect to the SUB on the IS10 so you might be a bit short on the lengths

Re: Sony DAV-IS10 rear speaker cable
np, didn't think it was really related that much to the first thread.
I'm intending to put the sub where the old CRT TV is as it was a in bay window, thats a big sub ! so the rear speaker cable should reach, I know the speaker end of the cable is the 2 prong cable, the DAVS-550 end is the coloured Sony connectors, are these the same connectors that are used on the IS10 then ?

They still use the colour coded connectors, dont know if they are the same but the IS10's connectors can be removed from the cable, so you could fit these to your existing cables
