How do All,
Just thought I'd share this, a few weeks ago I bought the Samsung X30R and wanted to hook up my Sky+ box and 360 to it's optical input. I originally just bought a splitter and was left wondering why I couldn't get sound from my 360.
I learnt on here that the Sky+ box optical out was always on, whether the box itself was in standby or not.
I purchased a optical switch to get around that problem but also sent off an email to Sky tech support asking why the optical out was always on and could it be fixed etc... I heard nothing back (what a surprise) but I was behind the back of the TV last night looking at something else and I noticed that the Sky+ optical was off.
Maybe for once a big company has listened to the little guy! Either way I no longer have to get up and turn the switch manually!
For reference my Sky + software version is: 5.02f
