Sony DAVIS10 Questions

Hi,

Hope you are all, this is my first post so we will see how it goes.

I am in the early stages of renovating my living room and have the chance to run all my cables via hidden methods.

I am looking at buying a Sony DAVIS10 and wondered if it is possible to connect this to pre positioned wall plates around the room that all terminate in on wall plate or weather the system comes with its own speaker cable and connections If so what connections do I need?

Also what is the best way to connect the to my Xbox 360 (No HDMI)

Thanks

Jason

Re: Sony DAVIS10 Questions

The speakers are terminated at the amp with the silly fool proof colour coded connectors, with your plans you would need to cut and join because i dont think you can buy the connectors

Thanks for that.

is this do-able/advisable or would I be best advised against it?

Thanks again,

Jason

Its not a problem if you need to do it, but take note the speakers plug into the SUB and not the amp so bear that in mind

Hi on the same thread...
I am looking to buy Sony DAVIS10 home cinema.I currently have an old LG LH D6230 home cinema with all the wiring in place under carpets etc for the satellite speakers, could this be used for the Sony DAVIS10? What are the connections like on the rear speakers?

Just cheapo spring clips, the other ends connect to the sub not the amp itself, get a full demo before you buy because the Sub does most of the work due to the golfball sized satalites unable to handle any midrange, the Subs position is critical because of this and the sound is often described as 'non-directional'

Hi Jason

No need to cut and join as Kentish Lad suggests.

You can remove the speaker cord from the connectors that go into the sub.

Best thing to do is download the instruction PDF file from Sony website.

RS4Fluff

PS I've got a copy of it if you can't find it.

I stand corrected, looking at the manual you can remove the cable from the connector
