Panasonic SCPT 850 or SCPT550

Please can someone let me know what is the difference between these two models.

Basically I want to feed my Sky+ box through the sound system to my Panasonic Th42PX70 Plasma.

i have the 850 model connected to a TH42PX60 only difference in the two is:

550
2 satalite speaker + 2 tall boy speakers

850
4 tall boy speakers

Is it any good and is it quite simple to connect for the sound from Sky.

yes its good, you will need a hdmi cable and a optical cable from sky box to 850 if you want true 5.1 sound.

I take it the optical cable goes from the Sky Plus and the HDMI from the 850. Is that correct as I don't think there is an HDMI socket in the Sky PLus box.

Sky to Tv with Scart(RGB)

Sky to amp with Optical

HDMI from 850 to TV

Plead my ignorance but why would I need to connect the Sky using both HDMI and Scart?

Where are you reading this??,
Sky+ doesnt have HDMI so you need to connect to TV via Scart for video and optical to amp for the sound

i have a few question i just bought the scpt550 and dont knw a thing about it

please would somebody help me to get the best setting for the hdmi regards to sharpenss contract colour etc

and also give me good seting for audio


and what is a digital transmitter that i have at the back of my panel

So with a SKY HD box, would you connect it with a HDMI cable? Not sure how I would connect my SKY HD box?
