Need opinions for wireless speaker system

Hello There,
Currently have 42" Relisys Plasma (RP42AB30), a Pioneer DVR-5100H (great machine) and a Wii.

I need an DVD amp wireless minimum 5.1 surround sound system. I'm willing to pay a premium for a good wireless surround sound system.

In the future I will get a PS3 and a new TV (the tv may be a couple of years). Also, at the moment I don't know if I will get SKY (probably not) or some other satellite/cable/freeview option.

Because of the room type and size, I can't have a wired system. And so wireless is a must. But are there any good wireless systems out there? and if so do they use wi-fi (i.e. can you set other machines to use them, e.g. a laptop?).

I've heard of a Philips hts9800W and a samsung ht txq120R but the reviews were not that impressive and so I thought I would tap-into the best forum for AV stuff.

All your input will be greatly received and i will research and add more info. As well as make a purchase at the end - fairly soon!

ps i've searched this forum for wireless option - mentions of a Sony but the wireless is an extra purchase. And another which the wireless sound was transmitted by infra-red - wow!!???

So - just some research:

- Sony DAV-FX100W Wireless - There are a few other sony systems and one that uses infra-red to transmit the signal (i thinks its infra-red)
- Samsung HTTX25R, HTTX35R (next model up) and the crazy PS3 looking HTX200R (if stood upright you get 80's style screen - if flat you see nothing) [but to be wireless you need to buy the SWA3000 ~£100)
- Philips HTS9800W - which i really like (look wise) - £600
- Bose Lifestyle 38 which costs just over of £2500
- Panasonic has some and i will get more info.
