Panasonic SC-PT850

Ok thinking of buying the Panasonic SC-PT850 system, it's my first ever home cinema system and i'm a complete newbie dim wit....

I want to connect my system up to my samsung lcd tv, xbox 360 and sky+ is this system good enough to do all this or can anybody suggest a better system for this type of cash ???

If it is a good enough system what cables do i need to buy when i buy the system, i guessed a hdmi cable and optical cable, is that right or do i need more ?

Thanks for comments in advance.

I have this system and personally i think its great. You will need a toslink cable to connect up your 360 for surround sound & a HDMI cable aswell. If your sky + box has a optical out you will need a toslink splitter and another toslink lead.

Re: Panasonic SC-PT850

When you say toslink cable do you mean optical cable ? would the HDMI cable be to connect up the TV ?

Are the rear speakers wireless on the system ?

Sorry about all the questions but as I said I'm a complete novice !!!

yea optical cable - there about £3 on ebay. HDMI lead will go from the pt850 to your TV.

No the speakers are not wireless.
