Need Help and advice on a home cinema system.

Ok, Im new to this and realise this may not be the right forum to post this in so please bear with me.

I have just bought a panasonicTX32LXD70 Tv as well as a panasonic DMREX77 HDD recorder and am now looking round with the intent of buying a surround sound system. My problem is that all the systems I have seen include a DVD player and obviously I do not need one, so I was wondering if I could just buy a set of speakers (Panasonic SBTP100 for example) and connect them up to the tv and DVD or if I would have to buy something completely different?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need Help and advice on a home cinema system.

Hi All,

I'm kinda in the same boat as Jimbob. I'm in the process of getting a Samsung LE40F86 TV and the 40GB PS3 and I'd really like to get a 5.1 home cinema system. Obviously I won't need the DVD player, but it appears more expensive to go the down the seperates route as opposed to buying a kit. I guess I could always flog the DVD player on ebay.

Can anyone suggest a good kit combo with WIFI capability for the rear speakers please?

Thanks in advance!

For £200 here is the perfect stater system http://shopping.kelkoo.co.uk/ctl/do/...&fromform=true which you can build on, upgrade with and has plenty of connectivity unlike all-in-one systems.
