hts-ss1100 out of stock, would u choose another brand?

Hi

I've just seen on the dedicated sf1100 / ss1100 thread that this system does not have theatre sync

without this feature is there any other reason I should choose a sony brand over any other brand

my reason for asking is I only have a budget of £230 I was going to choose a sony hts ss1100 to compliment my kdl40v3000 tv, ps3 and sky+, but everywhere shows out of stock apart from the sony store who are asking £250

Please can anyone help/point me in the right direction of the best 5.1 capable hts for my budget and setup

Am willing to wait for the ss1100 if u think thats the best option

My manual says that it does have theatre sync, but I have never tried it, because I use a harmony remote. Anyway.. I think that the 2000 version is replacing the 1100.

awh nice one Burnley_Lad I had just been checking on the JL website, it was there I seen that it was out of stock. I liked the fact it was 2 yrs warranty where as the sony store was only 1 yr for same price.

I received my V3000 tv today (fab lil set with changed picture settings from thread on here) with the IS10 and I was thinking of jus hooking that up to my tele n save having to sell it n wait for the SS1100 (which had been mention had better sound n connectivity over its higher priced rival )

Thanx Pincho Paxtongona will defo look into the harmony remote, did have a touchscreen sony one but when i went to replace batteries one day it never came back on That will defuse the loss off theatre sinc I saw mentioned
