SONY HTSS1100 or HTSF1100 SPEAKERS

Can someone tell me if there is any difference in sound quality between the 2 systems

HIya, The only differnece is one is wall speakers and the other have a stand. I am going to buy these and the cheapest I have found is Robert Whyte in Glasgow. Cheers

Thanks for the reply but that cant be right surely as you can take the htsf speakers of the stands and hang them on the wall as well so there must be some other difference
anyone else please!

I believe the SF are two way bass reflex and the SS single bass reflex so effectively the floorstanders have extra bass and the satellites rely on the subwoofer to supply the extra bass, which is calibrated when setting up.

I could be completely wrong but from what I have read that seems to be the difference.

The htsf have tweeters, the htss dont
