DAV-IS10 or RHT G800 ??

I am considering purchasing a 40v3000 as a package deal with a sony sound
sytem, and have to choose between either the RHT-G800 or the DAV-IS10.

Could anyone tell me which of these is the better system?(Just based on
sound, so completely disregarding price, looks, space-saving etc.)

Oh yeah, and I have a PS3 so DVD playback is not a consideration either.

Thanks

Re: DAV-IS10 or RHT G800 ??

RHD has one co-ax 5.1 input so no good for PS3 without optical and will NEVER give that 5.1 sound.
The other system has 1 optical and 1 co-ax so fill it up with a PS3 and try getting other 5.1 items to plug in.
XBOX
SKY+/HD
Cable TV
HTPC etc.
BUT you may only want to play the PS3 on it anyway and if so then get the 5.1 all-in-one.
So all in all I would get the excellent TV and not bother with the other items, they are not free anyway, OR ARE THEY!.

Re: DAV-IS10 or RHT G800 ??

I do only really need to use the PS3 with it yes (for gaming, DVDs, and Blurays).

The sony specifications for the RHT G800 say it has 2 x optical inputs though, so don't think connectivity will really be a factor in my decision.

The main thing I wanted to ask was how the sound of the two system compares, but suppose you've answered that in saying about the DAV-IS10's true 5.1 setup.

Would love to hear other opinions on this before I splash the cash - particulary from owners of either models.

Thanks

P.S. No the sound system wouldn't be free, just discounted!
