Samsung Repairs procedure

I don't know if this is the right place, but as it concerns my Home Cinema I thought I'd shove it in here.

Product: HT-Q20
Fault: Failing to read DVDs, Originals or Self burnt, CDs are no problem.

Fault reported on Friday 30th November, repair company to contact within 3 working days to arrange pickup.
Wedneday 5th December had to phone Samsung in the evening to find out why I have waited 3 days for a call that never materialised. The guy on the phone offered to give me the repair company number to me and I could call them !!!!!!
I declined his offer and pointed out that they worked for Samsung and YOU should be chasing them not ME
Was then put on to a supervisor who promised to get to the bottom of it and call me the next day.
Thursday 6th call from repair company to pickup on friday between 9 - 6 No call from Samsung !!!
Unit eventually picked up on Friday 7th December ... Delivered to repair center Moday 10th December.
Waited a week and phoned repair company 18th December, parts ordered and due for delivery 22nd, 23rd December
So now I'm without the unit over christmas for sure !!!
If I go for a part for my car to the local dealer and it isn't in stock they will guarantee to have it by the afternoon, so why does it take Samsung so long to supply THIER repair agents with parts ?
Soory for the rant but I have had 2 products from Samsung and both have taken over a month to be repaired due to thier incompetence and poor supply network.

Pete.

Re: Samsung Repairs procedure

samsungs agents arent part of samsung, work is only outsourced to them, and 4 weeks isnt really that far out of what is classed a reasonable period.
this isnt the right place really, but you have had your rant now,and i guess ill close this,as this could open up a can of worms,as regards companies and problems with them.
hope it gets fixed/delivered soon.
