Question Can True 5.1 be played with a blue-ray disk running on a PS3??

Hey,
Im slowly getting my gear up together, got a PS3, HD Sky Box and HD LCD panel. I already have a 5.1 kit with an optical in. Can True 5.1 surround sound be played through this with a blue-ray disk running on a PS3??

Or do i need to by a new 5.1 kit? or a blue ray 5.1 or some thing?

If you have a 5.1 kit then you can get dolby or DTS from the PS3 using optical. If you have a HDMI amp like the Onkyo 605 etc you can get True HD sound and the like from the PS using HDMI

If you currently get 5.1 from your system you will get the same from the PS3 just make sure your audio out is set to optical and bitstream.
