Samsung HT-TX35r Issue

Hi All

I just picked up the above system, having read your forum.

I have two issues, I would appreciate your input:

1) When on standby the unit makes a high pitched squeal. I am assuming the unit is faulty and have emailed Amazon.

2) my main question, I have been going through the setup/settings and got to pg. 47 of the manual, 'Setting the Delay Time'. I access this menu as described (my rear speakers are only just behind my sofa so I assume I need to tweak this setting?) but when I get to the 4th step i.e. the point where the manual shows a picture of 'user' along with the rear and front centre speakers, I can only see the user, i.e. there are no speakers showing for me to select!?

I've tried this with/without a DVD in the machine. All speakers are connected & working (test mode confirmed and during a movie), no joy....

Am I missing something?

Not got off to the best part with the system!

Regards

Dave

Re: Samsung HT-TX35r Issue

i used to own the tx35 before sending it back for a refund due to the audio lag in via optical.... anyway with point 1 I used to have the same problem.... even my cat kept wondering what the noise was....

Re: Samsung HT-TX35r Issue

Thanks

I spoke to Samsung who confirmed the noise is a fault, I will return to Amazon

As to my other issue, who knows, but a new unit should sort I guess

Amazon don't have any stock at the mo so I wonder what they will suggest

I could get the Panasonic one I suppose....

Re: Samsung HT-TX35r Issue

All

I have been playing around tonight, prior to packing it up and sending back.

I connected up my Daewoo PVR via optical and spent ages trying to get the sound to sync with the video, no joy, I think I needed a negative delay figure!

I presume this is the issue mentioned on the 'main' Sammy TX35 thread....
