Unhappy HT-TX35R - huge delay in audio when connected to LE40R87 freeview - help!?

Hi. I have a Samsung HT-Tx35R which is connected via both a HD cable and an optical cable to the Samsung LE40R87 TV. When I play DVD's the audio works fine through the receiver (although it doesn't sometimes recognise that a DVD is 5.1 - but have solved by simply ejecting and reinserting the disc). However, when I try to play the freeview digital TV via the 35R receiver, whilst it works fine intially, after a few minutes the audio slows right down, and becomes massively out of synch with the TV. Has anyone else encoutered this problem? It's rather frustrating as it means to fix the problem you need to change to another station then back again. It means that I can only use the receiver for DVDs and cannot play standard freeview tv through it. Can anyone please help?

Seems to effect most, the only solution i could find was using standard audio cables from the tv to the unit. Optical works ok though from my PS3 into the unit......

Ok, thanks. Sounds like this is a bit of a problem then...might give Samsung a call. It really does defeat the purpose of buying the same brand when two components dont even work together! Cheers.

My thoughts entirely, you would have thought they could produce items that were compatable with each other....
