Denon S102 Connectivity

Hi there - looking to buy a Denon S102. I've got a PS3, Sky Box and Toshiba TV with 2 HDMI connections. What is the best way to set up to ensure best sound and picture considering the Denon has no scarts and only 1 HDMI connections?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Denon S102 Connectivity

If you gentlemen have Sky HD then you'll have 3 HDMI to go into a TV with 2 HDMI slots. Then the best setup is
PS3 HDMI --> TV
Sky HD HDMI --> TV
S102 Component --> TV

If you really want to use all three HDMI you must buy a HDMI switch.

If you have Sky standard then you have no problem and you can hook Ps3 and S102 with HDMI and Sky with scart.

Re: Denon S102 Connectivity

Thanks Rbisuper. I have plumbed for this. I should get it tomorrow. I boned up a bit more now, so I have brought a QED Qunex OT digital optical Lead for my PS3 (that's all I'm worried about at this point).

Thanks

Re: Denon S102 Connectivity

Just a bit of advice if you need to add more equipment with optical outputs. I've got an S301 which has the same inputs 1x optical/ 2x coaxial and I have 3 bits of kit with optical out only so I tried using a maplins optical to coaxial convertor and it all works perfectly, it's just a bit pricey as you have to buy a convertor, coaxial cable and optical cable for each of the 2 inputs.

What I can't understand is why Denon are still using 2 coaxials on their brand new smart series when most AV kit/games consoles are optical out only.They should have gone with 2 opticals instead.
