| Panasonic SC-HT840 - NTSC or PAL60 output?
Hi all,
I've just bought a multi-region hack remote control for my Panasonic SC-HT840 which appears to have successfully worked, however, I've noticed that the picture appears to be ever so slightly fuzzy/grainy in certain parts of the film, which I'm sure I dont get this when watching a region 2 disc in PAL.
I've noticed that my DVD player has the option of outputting in the both NTSC -and- PAL60 (I'm already aware that some DVD players that say they can output NTSC actually output in PAL60 instead - this has both options though!). My DVD player is connected to my amazing Toshiba 36ZP48P (both PAL and NTSC capable) via component leads, and I cant appear to tell the difference between them both whichever option is selected, assume this is because I'm using the component leads instead of scart?
If the components make no difference, which should I select?
Also, is the fuzzy/grain due to the lack of resolution NTSC has compared to PAL? If so, wondering if it was worth me bothering making it multi-region, as region 2 discs will always look much better than region 1, particularly action films like Transformers which is the reason I've made it multi-region, as I dont want to wait until December for the UK release date DOH!
cheers
