My Philips LX7500R is broken :-<

18 moths ago Philips gave me an LX7500R because they couldnt fix a buzzing in the rear speakers of my surround sound TV.

It has now failed and they say there are no spares available so they have offered me £200 to take it away. (It had a retail value of £600)

I then asked them to be more constructive since £200 wouldnt give me surround sound back - so now they have offered to replace the TV and LX7500 with a 37" LCD TV for which I should pay £150.

The TV cost £1,500 four years ago and the LCD TV retails at £600 and has only pretend surround sound.

I dont want the LCD TV - the next one I buy will be a Pioneer plasma.

Are their offerings fair? Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Regards
Paul
