Sony Dav-dz410 - Audio Set Up Help Please!

Hi there. My parents have recently bought a Sony DAV-DZ410 home cinema to go with their Sony 40" LCD.

They also have Sky+, and a VCR.

The problem is, when they watch sky, no sound comes out of the home cinema. It does however when watching dvds and terrestrial.

The set up is:

TV has 2 Scarts. 1 Scart goes to Sky +, the other Scart to Home Cinema system.

The Sky+ has 2 scarts - 1 goes to the TV (as forementioned), and the other to the VCR.

There's also an audio cable running from the 'Line - Audio In (R&L)' on the home cinema system, to the Audio Out (R&L) on the Sky+ box.

We set the home cinema audio input using the remote control to "line" to correspond to the sound from the sky box, but nothing happens. We don't hear anything.

All we want is surround sound from sky

Any help would be much appreciated.
