1) I am getting no sound at TV when connected through a scart plug.

2) My wife records her soaps etc on our dvd recorder in our bedroom which is DVD + discs but they will not playback on this LG system which says it will play dvd+ & - RW.Any ideas?

Any help much appreciated.

For sound - try connecting to AV1 on tv instead of AV2. Also if you press AUX button then keep pressing sound button(On DVD remote) until Play Movie or Play Mtrx is displayed - see if thet helps. It should come out of all 5 speakers as mine does.

Playing recorded discs, i have read on other threads that you need to make sure that you finalize the disc you are copying.

Good Luck

Thanks JackL,I will give it a try,i do get sound from all five surround speakers plus woofer but nothing from Telly speakers

And i need to find some dvd +rw discs that will play in this machine as i have just read that it is disc fussy so it wont play the Philips DVD+RW discs i have at present.
