Suggest replacement for JVC TH-A75R

My trusty JVC TH-A75R all-in-one started playing up with the dvd tray sticking now and then. Now it seems to have given up alltogether and just switches itself off when you insert a disc.

So two questions:

1. Can it be easily/cheaply repaired? If so how/where?

2. Can I get a suitable replacement and keep the same speakers? Replacing the neat little speakers won't go down well! So any recommendations in the £300 mark?

Re: Suggest replacement for JVC TH-A75R

I must admit I'm not a person who favours repair because often you end up paying £60-80 and the damn thing goes wrong again after 3 months. If you can't repair it yourself on the cheap I tend to think its better to change something.

If you really do want it repaired you should have local repair people available. Of course its knowing who is good and who isn't.

Basically though it seems with home cinema systems the dvd drive often starts playing up before the amp and speakers so if you go for a replacement maybe a amp and speakers package would be better with a seperate dvd player. Then it would be also easy to upgrade to hd-dvd or blue ray.
