Sony HTSF1000 - my best option?

Hi

Been looking at the threads regarding all-in-one systems for months now, but havent still managed to make up my mind.

From what i have read, the Sony HTSF 1000 sounds like a good system and i am leaning towards it. However, is there anything else anyone can recommend, preferably less than £500.

I will be connecting the following to the system:
- Sky HD
- PS3
- DVD

Also i would need something with HDMI inputs/output as my Sony 52x only has 2 HDMI inputs (at the moment just using it for PS3 and Sky HD...got the dvd running thru scart but want this thru HDMI also).

What would you recommend and also what extra cables would i need for the connections?

Thanks ppl...i really need this system asap to finish off my set-up.

Try the Sony HTSF 1000. You should be able to get irfor less than £300 and its a HDMI switcher built in. I have one and it is the dogs knackers....

You'd need at least two more HDMI cables if you were to use the HDMI switcher in the Sony.

Got a HTSF1000 last week from the trading forums. Easy to install and a nice piece of kit. Well built and worth it for the money.

Having an extra HDMI port might come in useful eventually.

Not really come across a good alternative for £300
