Hi all, first post on this forum so excuse be for being a bit ill informed.
I am about to invest in a complete new home cinema set up.
So far I like the look of this set up:
LG 50PC1D - 50" Plasma (I like the dual HDMI and PC inputs)
Philips HTS3115 - Upscaling DVD, home cinema in a box.
XBox 360, Sky+ HD.
My question is, what would be the best way to connect all this together?
From reading some threads on this forum it looks like there may be a problem with the Philips not having an optical audio input, for the Sky+.
I was thinking that I could get a HDMI switch and simply runn the XBox, PC and DVD through this to the screen. Will this work and will I get full surround from all sources?
I've got the HTS 3115 attached to a Samsung 26" HDTV via HDMI. Problem is, I am looking into getting a HD disc player (not sure if Blu-ray or HDDVD) and realise that whilst I can view HD picture via HDMI, I can't output the sound to the HTS3115 without it being in stereo.
Does anyone know of an amplifier / receiver which accepts the speaker cables from the HTS3115 as they are those rectangle plug and play type?
