Question Samsung HT-THQ22R/XEU Home Theatre & PS3

Hello,

I have bought a Samsung LE32R74BD HDTV and have connected it via HDMI to my PS3. The sound is quite weak though so I am thinking about buying this home theater:

Samsung HT-THQ22R/XEU Home Theatre Speaker Kit

However the PS3 has only 1 HDMI right? How do I connect it then to my TV and Home theater at the same time?

If I have to connect PS3 with HDMI to TV and a different way of connecting the PS3 to this Home Theater, which way would that be and would I need additional cables for that or are those provided by PS3 and Samsung HT-THQ22R/XEU Home Theatre enough?

Sorry I am a beginner in these things.

Many Thanks,
Houman

Hi,

Not sure this is the best place for this question - might be better here.

To answer your question you should be able to use the HDMI to your display for Video and the Optical output from the PS3 to your Sound system.

By default the PS3 will want to output both Video and Audio via HDMI so you will have to change the settings in Sound settings options on the PS3.

Thanks
