My DHT 500 has not been used for a couple of months and today when it is switched on comes up with a 'Protect' message on the machine and then switches itself off.
I thought that it might have a problem with the speaker connections but after unplugging all of them it still comes up with this error message
You haven't got the volume control cranked right up by mistake have you?
I used to own the DHT500 and the only time I ever saw the "protect" warning was when the sound level might have been getting to "annoying the neighbours" level.
It hasn't been cranked up by accident in the past year has it?

No..volume is at minimum.
Machine switches off straight away after I press the on button
