Panasonic SCHT15 connectivity spec advice

Hi
Hope someone is able to advise. My Bro has a Tiny 4200 plasma and whilst I realise HD is a no go, am trying to advise him on next best thing i.e. component.

He is after a all-in-one and doesn't want to spend more than a couple hundred pound. Was gonna advise the Panasonic 530, but have just stumbled across the Panasonic SCHT15 which seems v good value for approx £220, optical inputs too for his ps2 and possible sky+ upgrade.

My Q is does the SCHT do PAL Progressive, as the 530 does and it would seem that the SCHT15 is a newer model. Panasonics UK site is useless for user guides/manuals, so any advice warmly received!

Hi - don't get sucked into thinking the all-in-one Panasonic units (330, 530 etc) are a better deal as for some bizarre reason Panasonic have recently removed the ability to hook up external kit for dts/5.1 playback! In other words forget sky+ etc - you only get 5.1 from dvds played on the system. I found this to my cost and even the Panasonic centre I bought my unit from (330) weren't aware of this until I pointed it out!

Don't give up on the SCHT15 just yet though - coupled with the dmr es10 (Panasonic DVD-Recorder) it makes a kick-butt solution - albeit slightly more than you'd want to pay given the competition from the likes of Denon or Yamaha though.
