Sony DAVS 100
My in-laws have purchased the Sony DAVS100 (I think that is the correct code) for Xmas and everything worked fine after I set it up for them.
However, this week the front left speaker has started to click every time the unit is switched on, and emits a strange 'whooshing noise' (their words, not mine) all the time the unit is switched on. I suggested that they try connecting a different speaker to the front left speaker connection and all of the speakers exhibit the same problem when connected to the left front outlet of the unit. Sounds to me like a problem with the Sony box itself rather than the speakers. Before I tell them to take it back for a refund/replacement, could it be anything else??
