Samsung HT-TZ325R USB Port

Hey all, I bought one of these a couple months back from amazon;
Samsung HT-TZ325R 5.1ch Home Cinema System - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Think its great for the money really complements my 37" Samsung 1080p LCD.

couple problems I've ran into:

Connecting External HD (1TB)
The USB port wont work with my external harddrive (Western digital My Book 1TB). Doesnt recognise it at all. It does say in the manual that "Removable HDDs equiped with less than 160 Gbytes are supported", however I was wondering if there was a way to connect it up and get it working?

My TV also has a wiselink USB slot where it does recognise the external HD but just displays 0MB and doesnt allow you to access it.

the ports work fine with a 2GB usb stick.

Using all speakers in stereo

When I play an Divx/ AVI file / music through the USB connection only the front two speakers work. Ive read the manual but cant seem to get all speakers working.

Any suggestions would be a real help!

cheers

Hi,
I cant help on the hard drive bit - sorry.

With regard to your other question though, have you tried - whilst using the usb as you describe - adjusting the `mode` & `effect` buttons on your 325R remote ? - I think you will be able to put your system into `matrix` mode and this should give you `pseudo` surround sound - sound from all speakers.

Hope that helps - Good Luck.
