Surround sound for a Sony 46W5500 - Sony BDV E300 Vs PS3

Hey,

I have just bought a new Sony KDL-46W5500 and I’m now looking for Blu-Ray player and a surround sound system to go with it.

While in the Sony Centre I seen the Sony BDV E300 which is a Blu-Ray and surround sound both in one for £399.99, is this a good buy or are there better/cheaper alternatives?

Another option I’ve been considering was to get a PS3 (as I don’t have the largest Blu-Ray collection and the ability to play games also would be a nice bonus) and a separate surround sound unit (although I’m not sure which to go for).

Ideally I’m thinking I would prefer a Sony one to take advantage of the BRAVIA sync to save messing around with several remotes and system settings.

Is it worth getting an all in one with a blu-ray player built in?

Search and ye shall find.
