If you had to buy one of these two. Which one would you buy?

Which one is best?

Sounds promising...

Am i right in saying i will need to keep the home cinema box on all the time, i.e when im watching Sky HD...... if i want to have Sky sound through the speakers?

Not heard anything negative about the LG hb345bs or the 954.....

However i have heard the samsung ht bd1252 / 1255 getting a lot of negative comments. However no reviews on the 1220....

Wouldnt mind someone who owns a 1220 giving me their opinions so i could make the final call!

The LG ones have an HDMI input, does that mean my Sky will improve, if i plug the sky box in to that, or is their no difference in PQ plugging the Sky direct to my tv. (ue40b6000)

You have PM SG....

I have my PS3 & 360 plugged into the unit via the two HDMI inputs, Humax to the telly via HDMI and to the LG unit via optical. The LG will have to be on all the time to listen to Sky through the speakers.
The sound quality has blown me away and is doing it's best to do the same to the neighbours....

Thanks for your reply and PM. Great info.

Does anyone know if I'm better with Sky plugged in to tv or the LG system.

Also if I only get a 2.1 system does that negate the need for the optical wire from Sky to LG. Only 5.1 requires this? Or am I wrong?!

I am also interested in the LG system. I currently have a Yamaha Av57 but am looking to reduce space and get blu ray. Cheapest I have seen it is from pixmania through properprice.co.uk for £329.00 Plus postage.
