Home Cinema set up help needed! Samsung HT Bd 1252

Hi there. Sorry if i ask stupid questions........ im not all that clued up im afraid!

Right, i have just bought a Samsung UE40B6000 tv, and im also getting Sky HD installed.

Im going to buy an all in one home cinema system, but before i buy the wrong one, or something i cant use fully, i thought i would get my worries cleared up!

I want to buy the Samsung HT Bd 1252. However, i believe this has no HDMI input? Is this a big issue?

I have also been told that my sky wont be able to support 5.1 surround through HDMI? Is this also true? Can i get round this?

How would i go about setting up my Sky HD, my home cinema system, and my tv, with minimial wires, and also ensuring that if im watching blu ray dvd, or sky, all the speakers are still producing sounds, and i dont have to switch things around? I would hate to only have my dvd's through the speakers, and sky could only work through the tv speakers!

I understand seperates would be best, but cost is an issue, and i think a home cinema system will be enough for me. Good starting point as its my first place, with my first set up etc....

Also, is there another system i should seriously consider?

God im so confused!!!

Thanks folks!

Thats correct about Sky+HD, only stereo is available via HDMI.

So realistically there is nothing lost if your Surround Sound doesn't have HDMI, you can plug the HDMI lead from the Sky box straight into the TV.

For 5.1 sound (when broadcast) you will need an additional connection to the surround sound from the Sky box. On the newer Sky boxes you have a choice of Digital coax of optical output.

So as long as you have a spare optical or digital coax input on your surround sound you will be fine for Sky sound (stereo or 5.1) thru the surround system, courteousy of this additional connection

BTW don't buy an HDMI cable prior to your installation. Its one of the only HDMI boxes that does come with an HDMI cable supplied. You will need to buy an optical or digi coax cable though.
