Philips htr5224 7.1

As this system is very cheap (£200) I am considering it for use with my 40" lcd that is only used for gaming with Xbox 360 and PS3.. what are your guys opinions on this all-in-one.

BUMP!

any response on this at all? i'm thinking of getting exactly the same bit of kit to use with my 360 and 37" LCD.

have you got it at all and got on well with it? I haven't got a clue which is the best way to hook up my 360 for 5.1 surround sound. i was wondering if i could get a dvd player 5.1 and use the dvd player as a pass through for the 360. anyone know if that would work?

RE: Philips htr5224 7.1

Hi There, Just if you were still in 2 minds about this system, I bought this system 5 days ago on Pixmania for 240 Euros, setup was very easy, I am using my Sky+HD and PS3 through it all connected via HDMI, setup was a snap, had already run the cables beneath my skirting and because of the special cable connectors on the speakers I had to double splice the existing cables, apart from that I was enjoying 7.1 surround sound immediately on the Sky box and was watching some blu-ray movies through the PS3 with amazing sound, I haven't been able to program the Sky remote to control the volume on the Amp yet, used the 4 Philips Amp codes listed, none worked, called Sky they hadn't a clue and referred me to Philips, e-mailed them tonight and waiting on a reply, other than these small gripes it works perfect.
