I've just bought a Samsung LE40B650 LCD TV. My current home system is a 4 year old panasonic and doesn't have a Digital-in socket. As I'd rather get the best from my SKY HD in terms of 5.1 sound I'm gonna buy a new home system.

I'll not be using blu-ray or games. just TV and DVDs. My budget is £200-£300 and I'd welcome the value of your experience in deciding which one to buy.

I've got the same telly and have a similar budget (although I do use a PS3 rather than Sky). What connections come out of your sky box? I'm thinking of PS3 ---HDMI---> Home Cinema ---HDMI---> TV.

Skute, as far as I'm aware it should be sky hd to tv via HMDI, Home Cinema to tv via HMDI and sky hd to home cinema via digital optical cable.
