I have just purchased the above system an wonder if someone could answer the following questions. I have the rear speakers wired, but would ideally like to lengthen the cable for better speaker positioning. The instructions say don't.
What are the implications of joining the cable 'properly' and adding afew metres?
Also the wireless speakers that are available for this model, do they to be used instead of the wired rear speakers or can you operate them as well?

as long as you match cables there wony be any issues, the reason they say this is due to warranty issues, void i would imagine with any tampering.

as for the wireless speakers, a sender unit/card attaches to the main unit, and then the rears are attached traditionally to a sender/receiver unit by wires, and in turn the rear sender/reciever is plugged into the mains wall socket, so not truly wireless.

Instead of. The manual says that it can only be used as a 5.1 system.
