You are right that the levels measured were off which makes the translation of what is going on, that much more difficult to interpret.

With a wife and two kids fighting over the use of the lounge and only a week with the AS-EQ1 I didn't have the time to be as thorough as I would have liked.

Comparing an 'average' EQ response against a point EQ reponse is difficult enough and without proper calibrated gear, level matching etc. the evidence here is anecdotal at best which is why I left this out of the main review.

I still think if you look at how quickly the colours change, the AS-EQ1 drops slightly earlier and possibly steeper than the SMS-1. The overall energy in the time domain seems less for the AS-EQ1 as well, although I am hardly an expert in interpreting these graphs.

If I ever get hold of one of these again, I will try running some 3D waterfalls as they are much easier to read.

Thank you for fast reply
Your review is the main reason that drew me here, I can't remember how many times I'd revisited this forum to check if you'd posted the follow-ups.. gotta say GOOD JOB to ya!

I believe we'd hear more test reports of as-eq1 from you soon
