Having been searching for as-eq1's reports and I believe yours is one the most valuable and informative reviews.

After comparing before/after graphs, I can't help but notice that the "time domain" improvement wasn't all that convincing, unless you have to carefully level up the measurements. Just by looking at the graphs above, comparing the levels between SMS-1 and as-eq1 with MultEQ, isn't the SMS-1's level substantially hotter?

To make further request.. I'd like to see the waterfall if it's not that much troublesome
Thanks Ken and welcome to the forum ,

You are right that the levels measured were off which makes the translation of what is going on, that much more difficult to interpret.

With a wife and two kids fighting over the use of the lounge and only a week with the AS-EQ1 I didn't have the time to be as thorough as I would have liked.

Comparing an 'average' EQ response against a point EQ reponse is difficult enough and without proper calibrated gear, level matching etc. the evidence here is anecdotal at best which is why I left this out of the main review.

I still think if you look at how quickly the colours change, the AS-EQ1 drops slightly earlier and possibly steeper than the SMS-1. The overall energy in the time domain seems less for the AS-EQ1 as well, although I am hardly an expert in interpreting these graphs.

If I ever get hold of one of these again, I will try running some 3D waterfalls as they are much easier to read.
