| re: SVS AS-EQ1 Subwoofer EQ End User Review
Adam,
Wow, when Ian at KHC (Subsonic Sounds) asked if they might send one of the first arriving boxes to "someone that knows their stuff on subs" I wasn't prepared for this effort on your part. Great stuff, and I'm not bashful about admitting there's more work here than I could have managed.
Making the box was difficult enough ;^) The team responsible for this product worked tirelessly and against long odds to launch in the midst of a recession. Making great subs SOUND great was too powerful a call even for the CFO to deflect. Everyone with a theater than used the early boxes “had to have one”. If only that made products available and ready for customer use or wrote the big checks to build them.
So thanks for taking so much care to put our new sub EQ thru the paces. The last time someone said "no holds barred" I think it was Nixon to Frost, and that didn't work out too well for the American. I'm happy this meeting across the pond was more fun. We said a long time ago we were committed to making bass processing this powerful this affordable. More than once I wasn't sure we'd pull it off, but with venues like this (even if you are not a customer I'm told) customers can get to the bottom of the "hype" on a product.
Funny thing is, some companies don't buy into hype. Hype doesn't pay the factory bills, not even the CFO. Only good products do that. We appreciate everyone here for being so patient for this good gear to finally arrive.
Thanks for giving the AS-EQ1 a run, a great read Adam.
Cheers,
Ron Stimpson
SVS
